The care of the three Mrs. Kim

It was a very small started from the place where the peeled roof of my mouth. Whenever I ate, I couldn't eat properly because I brushed the wound.

I overworked my daily walk while not eating enough. I couldn't move suddenly to see if the joint between the right sacrum and the legs was missing. The pain was so severe that I couldn't stretch my legs and turn.

I danced for more than 3 hours with my friends the day before. My friends said that their knees, soles, back were pained. But, I bragged about 'No matter how much I dance, I am fine." I put on a pain relief patch, and steamed it. After a few days in bed, I lost my appetite and energy. I caught a cold and have a runny nose and a cough.

A friend who is last name Kim brought the roots of the balloon flower, asking me to put it in chicken soup and eat it. She left it in front of my house on her way to the church not to make it difficult for me. After eating a chicken soup with bellflower roots, the cold seemed to stop, but it was nauseating.

"Everything is useless except health.," I was lying down for days and days with thoughts of. As my father said, "women should keep their thin waistlines" I must have exercised a bit too hard. If I happen to meet first love on the street, did I try to show my thin waist that as if I'm not old yet? I realized my sister-in-law's remark that I could recover quickly if I had fleshy.

Invitation email came from another friend, Kim. My husband said, "That's great. When you go to your friend's house and eat and play, you feel energized," He drove me to friend's house. When I was young, whenever I was sick, my mother would send me to a home that lived six brothers and sisters. I ate and play there with them and then I felt energized.

The moment I saw the face of my friend, a generous Bodhisattva with a benevolent smile, I felt at ease. She frequently brought tea that smelled of herbal medicine.  She put a hot pack on my waist and shoulders. After a long dinner, I felt like I was getting a boost. But It was cold all night and shivering, and I fell asleep at dawn.

Another New Jersey friend, Kim, who belatedly heard that I was sick, she brought a big jar of kimchi and the odorless Cheonggukjang on her way home after the church. To avoid bothering me, my friend's husband started the car and pretended to be busy in the car. The kimchi that my friend made by herself tasted like the kimchi that my mother had buried in the ground in the past.

With the help of the three Kims, Aesook, Jawon and Gumran, I fully recovered from my illness. They are Catholic, Buddhist and Christian. Maybe it was the power of a mixed religion.

I hope it's useless worry

The eldest son looks at his face in the mirror with an air of admiration of one's own face.

"Do you like your face because I gave you a handsome birth?" The child grinned, "Mom, I think every girl I meet likes me." "You are handsome, have good manners and you are funny. Of course they have no choice to like you." The younger son next to us looked as if  'you guys are playing well,' and then he looked at the book as if he had nothing to say.

"What's her name? A pretty girl who's been in your same school since middle school? Is she your girlfriend now?" "No. Just a friend." "Doesn't she like you?" "She does." "But her family wasn't very good." "Only a girl needs to be smart. If you get bald, all the good girls leave. You have to decide before you become bald." "Mom, am I bald?" The child rumbles with surprise, flipping over his head and asking him to me. "No, no, no, I mean don't be too confident."

I'm worried that my son will be bald. I'd rather be me. What can I do what if he's worried that he will get bald? I often think of my biological father. Sometimes sleeping his hair is patted up and said, 'isn’t it yet? Or is it in progress? I heard that baldness resembles one's mother's side.

My father is a bald. When my mother, who loved to look out from the veranda on the fourth floor, saw my father coming from afar, she asked, "Is your father coming? Is he going?' The back of his head is bald too that it's hard to tell whether it's the front or the back of his face from a distance. What bald father hates the most is those who brush their hair sideway to cover it

"It won't be obscured by trying to hide baldness. If it's windy, it's over. Look at me, I just push it back and comb it." "Father, you don't have enough hair to brush back."

At my words that hit my father's faults, "is it getting taller just because a short person wears high shoes? When a short person wears high shoes, they only show their shoes and look more smaller," he used to kick his tongue to me short that go out with a high heels. "You don't have to worry about being bald and being short. Find what you like and what you good at and live well, that's it."

The son complains with a grim face. " Mom, what if I become bald?" "It's okay to be bald. Men should be more skilled than they look. Do you live off your face? In life, there are more important things than face,"

He would remember his maternal grandfather's bald whom he met in Seoul last summer. Doesn't he remember? What would I do to a child who cares about his appearance if he really got bald? Can plant hair in a world where plant teeth. I need to save money. As long as money can solve the problem, that's okay!

I like Saturday night

Leave my body to the passionate Latin music, shake, and I become be romantic as if I've recovered my youth. The exciting and sad rhythm that stimulates the original senses brings me back to the romantic days of college.

During the Yushin period in the '70s, when there was not much fun, a sloppy festival was held in spring and autumn. When the music rang, I jumped first into the red heat of firewood, which burned in the middle of the playground. On a dark night, I threw me in a roaring flame and shook my body like crazy. All four years of college.

'Papapa ~~ It's time for us to end see you again next time.' I used to shake my body until the music rang to end the nightclub. My soul ran away in a dizziness when I shook, and then I was born anew as if I came back after taking a cold wind while walking along the river and on a mountain.

Tall and pretty friends went out to the stage at the offer of men. But to me, men who asked me to dance were rare. I shook between my friends even if I didn't have a partner. Of course, during blues time, I would come into my seat and sip with a glass. It seems that my liquor drinking volume increased greatly at that time.

Wherever there is music, the passion for dancing is the same as when I was young. I wanted to learn how to dance with my husband, so I was looking for a place where we could dance. My husband says, "I have the memory of the house being destroyed in the '60s when women from the outskirts of Seoul came and went to the dance floor," and he is not allowed to speak at all.

I put up with it because I don't want to repeat my humble self again, which I had waited to dance in the corner without a partner. Finally, I hang out with my friends in line dance with Filipinos for three hours every Saturday night in the Catholic School Auditorium in Woodside, Queens. Line dance can stand alone without a partner. You can learn to step as you wish until you want to dance. Singer Psy's horse dance is another popular step.

Just as music is over and dance stops, can I die joyfully? Who would like to see me lying in bed like a duck's ass? Well, can it be?
