"In a dreams last night," I always start like a habit to my
husband as soon as I wake up in the morning. "Another dream. Stop it." My husband is stunning, but I repeat
it as a hobby. Our meeting yesterday was not a dream but a reality.
But why does it feel like a dream?
While talking
with friends I met on an opening a while ago, "everyone used to get along in a difficult time, but It is
hard to see each other when we were able to afford it. One of the friends
reserved a restaurant to meet together. Four couples met at a restaurant on
the top floor of Manhattan. I looked at the night view that
seemed to have poured gems in front of me, and we toasted a glass of
wine.
As if everyone’s
life were enriched, we shared a warm story such as ‘Success is not happiness
but success if we are happy. Do not step
on three leaf clovers of happiness to find a lucky four-leaf clover,' and so on.
We moved to
one of these friend’s penthouses in Manhattan. As soon as the elevator door
opens, 'Wow! Oh my God!' How difficult was he in the
Brooklyn East River shabby second floor apartment that when the
wind blows, the feathers from the duck shed on the riverside warehouse used to
stick to the window as is they were flying dandelions springtime, And
now how can be transformed in such a
way delightfully.
As I step outside
the back door, I feel relieved to see the sky through the building. Moreover,
the blue flame campfire rising from a glittering pile of yellow pebbles seemed
to be at the corner of nature. It is as if the American Indian
ancestors complained of selling Manhattan to a few bundles of beads, I feel as
if we were ancient Indian descendants surrounded by fire.
As night
advanced, one of them brought up a story that had reached the brink of death. He,
who cannot swim, went swimming with his cousin to the river. His cousin told
him that “If you lose strength, you will rise above water,” As soon he was immersed
in the river that is not deep to fall out he was drowned. He tried to hit the
bottom of the river a few times to float, however, as consciousness faded, He
felt relaxed and painless felt comfortable as feathers are flying. He was
finally at the threshold of death. And then, the old days seemed to pass
through the right side fast like a light. He saw the light far away and he was
lost consciousness.
We all
struggled so hard to get out of poverty, literally we went to the
end of our life and we luckily survived.
