There are other, conflicting rumors about Soha's death. The men said that Soha collapsed because she was upset because she did not receive money she had lent to someone without her husband's knowledge.
In the early 70s, when overseas Korean men used to go to Korea and bring back pretty women, Changsook's older brother's friend, who had immigrated to the United States, came out to Korea and fell in love with Changsook at first sight. He hastily married her and brought her to America. Changsook's husband, who came to the United States after barely graduating from a technical high school, worked at a car repair shop. Four years ago, Soha took some money and lent it to Changsook. Rumors circulated that Changsook didn't need cancer surgery due to a doctor's misdiagnosis or that she lied because she needed money.

Soha barely opened her mouth. Changsook looked away as if she couldn't remember the money she had borrowed. Soha was at a loss for words and hurriedly drove her car and headed to her home. All this time, she only trusted Changsook and gave her heart to her. As she drove, Soha lamented her misguided life. She looked at the setting sun out the car window. As she faced the sun, which seemed to vomit blood into the sky, a pain came to her brain. She wanted to throw up. She parked her car on the side of the road and got out. Her limbs became weak and her vision became blurry. She collapsed.
